CRANBURY BIRDS is a licensed aviary and breeding facility located in Central New Jersey. Established in June 2000 with an Australian Finch breeding program, we now solely focus the Finch division on developing our strain of White Zebra Finches, the Cranbury White.
Since 2002 Cranbury Birds has specialized in breeding Peachface Lovebirds (Agapornis rosecollis) and Pacific or Celestial Parrotlets (Forpus coelestis). Beginning with two pair of Peachface Lovebirds and one pair of Pacific Parrotletts, it has since grown into a modern state of the art aviary with many helping hands.
All parrotlets and lovebirds are lovingly hand fed from 10 - 14 days old and are raised around all normal household activities, sounds and people. Numerous hours are spent with every bird to ensure that our birds are well socialized and trained to become the best companion birds available. Birds intended for breeding are raised along with future pets to ensure calm breeding stock. All birds are banded for identification and regulatory purposes and come with a written health guarantee. Pedigrees are available for all birds with extensive pedigrees for most. Cranbury Birds takes pride in the fact that all our breeding stock come from the foremost breeders of each species with champion bloodlines. Cranbury Birds maintains active membership in NFSS (National Finch and Softbill Society), ALBS (African Lovebird Society), and the IPS (International Parrotlet Society)
At this timeCranbury Birds is no longer breeding Pacific Parrotlets
When reserving or purchasing a baby being hand-fed, we encourage the bonding relationship. Bonding time is available for all purchased and reserved birds. Cranbury Birds is open by appointment only and all reasonable bonding time requests will be taken into consideration.
Many years of planning, research, and commitment have resulted in Cranbury Birds becoming an "Aviary of Excellence". We strive for the ideal in all species we breed and believe our birds will be a welcome addition to any household, aviary or breeding program.
